general relativity - Why does $8pi/3$ appear in the equations describing cosmological expansion?

What is the significance of $8\pi/3$ in the first Friedmann Equation, and in the question concerning the time independence of the Hubble Constant?

Is it the 'same' $8\pi/3$ that appears in the total cross section formula of Thomson Scattering ?
