Q1: Do the forces that drive fluid flow push or pull (“suck”) the fluid?
Q2: whichever the answer to Q1 may be, how can one justify the reasoning for why it is? (In a layman’s explanation and with supporting mathematics)
Q3: One can imagine a pressurized fluid in a container connected to one end of a pipe/conduit, with a valve place in between and initially closed. The other end of the pipe is connect to a container at vacuum. Once the valve is opened the fluid will travel towards the chamber that was initially at vacuum. One explanation would be that it was the pressure in the fluid that pushed the fluid. Another explanation that might be given is that it was the vacuum that pulled ("sucked") the fluid. What thought and/or real experiment could be devised to falsify one of the explanations (and confirm the other)?
