quantum mechanics - Expectation value of vectors for an electron in ground state of H atom


Why can't I make the following statement: <$\vec{r}$>=$= $\hat{r}$



I know this is not true since <$\vec{r}$>=0 and $= \frac{3}{2}$$a_{0}$


How about the validity of this statement ?: <$\vec{x}$>=$\hat{x}$
